Reflection & Dialogue Series
CSRL has conducted three series of interdisciplinary dialogues. The first series (1999-2000) reflected on the mission confronting religious in the United States today. The second series (2000-2001) focused on the meaning and value of community. The third series (2000-2001), done in collaboration with the Religious Formation Conference www.relforcon.org, looked at dimensions of incorporating new members. Each series had three dialogues which brought together a panel of scholars and a group of 20-30 invited participants--religious of diverse ages, cultures, religious life traditions, and backgrounds.
At the end of each series of dialogues a book was produced reporting the reflections and recommendations of participants, theological reflection on the subject discussed, a description of the dialogue process, resources, and names of participants.
